Last year I took Goodreads.com up on their Reading Challenge. I set myself of a goal of 20 books to read for the year 2015. Now with work and home life I honest didn't think I would be able to get anywhere near this goal. Well I surprised even myself, not only did I read 20 books I also surpassed my initial goal by double ending 2015 with a total of 45 books read.
Now this was easily achieved with the help of bookbub.com. I signed up to their website after some research. The offer you daily emails with free and/or cheap books that are downloadable to your reading app of choice, i.e. Kindle, iBooks, Nook, etc. These book are usually between 200-400 pages and for the most part are part of a series. The catch is once you begin one and you're hooked purchasing the remaining series is fairly easy. Its a good way to see what new books are coming out as well as some that may by you might not have looked at twice.
This year I decided to one again sign up for the Reading Challenge and again set myself the goal of 20 books. To date (3/28/2016) I'm at 12 books read thus far with a list of books to explore in the up coming months. Below are some of the books in my queue:
- Outlander Series by Diana Galbaldon (8 Books)
- The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare (6 Books)
- Divergent Series by Veronica Roth (4 Books)
- A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest (Derek's & Sofia's Story 7 Books)
- The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks
- The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
- See Me by Nicholas Sparks
- Palmeras en la Nieve by Luz Gabas
It might look short, but add up the numbers of books per series and it is not a small task. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. I'm always looking for the next great read.
Jackie
