California

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's a small tidbit into my latest trip.

Last weekend I had the experience to go out and spend 5 days in California. To say it was beautiful was an understatement. My sister, boyfriend and I were invited to my cousin Nick's wedding and we took it as an opportunity to explore the West Coast. Being from Miami, I'm used to the flat lands of it all. So seeing mountain everywhere I went was a new experience.

My aunts Connie and Grace live in Sunland/Tujunga Califormia which is about an hours drive from LAX. Upon our arrival the 3 of us were amazed at how beautiful the natural landscape was. To say in total we must have about 50-100 pictures of just the mountains and landscape alone. Its was breath taking. We were there for a wedding, which didn't take place until Saturday afternoon so we gave ourselves 2 1/2 days to explore all the So Cal had to offer.

Friday we explored the Griffith Observatory. The view of the Hollywood sign from there was awesome. The observatory itself was super unique. Unlike anything  you would find in Miami.

Inside the observatory there was a Tesla Coil, displays of all the different types of methods used throughout time to view the stars. At the bottom of the observatory lies the exhibit which showcases our own solar system. Here is also the Leonard Nimoy Even Horizon theater where you can watch a short about the observatories history and renovation.

Next we took a drive to the National History Museum of Los Angeles. There were had the privilege for visiting the Spaceship Endeavour. It was truly an amazing site.

If you've never had the chance to go, I suggest GO!!!!!

Saturday afternoon was my cousin Nick's wedding. The wedding took place at the ranch and was beautiful.

We are already planning our next trip out there. It was a wonderful and amazing experience. Life is short and you only live once, so go explore.
